With more than 25 years of experience across IT leadership, IT services and managed service environments, Marais brings a combination of deep technical expertise, operational maturity and strategic business thinking to the organisations he supports.

Throughout his career, Marais has served as Head of IT for multiple organisations and has founded and grown successful Managed Service Providers (MSPs). He has built, transformed and managed IT functions across Africa, the Middle East and Europe, working with both internal and outsourced IT teams.

His experience spans IT strategy and roadmaps, infrastructure, IT service management, IT operations, budgeting, vendor management and compliance (POPIA). On multiple occasions, he has established IT functions from the ground up across multiple countries, creating the people, processes and technology required to deliver reliable and scalable IT services.

As an MSP leader, Marais has personally built and grown service organisations from inception into high-performing teams, delivering enterprise-level IT support, consulting and service desk services. His approach is founded on a simple principle: IT should enable the business, not get in its way.

His leadership style is built around transparency, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. He believes that successful IT is not simply about technology — it is about having the right people, processes and technology working together to deliver measurable business value.
